The Jim Utley Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to rewarding youth for choosing to live drug free, getting good grades, doing community service, and participating in healthy living activities such as organized sports and clubs. In addition, JUF builds overall awareness about the dangers of street drugs and helps youth and families through education and programs.

Kids of all ages receive information from various sources such as their peers, television, the internet, movies, and social media (like Facebook, Blogs, LinkedIn, MySpace, and Twitter). Thus, our aim is to inform with accurate and timely information.

We are not a treatment facility, nor are we affiliated with one particular method of treatment or facility, and do not make recommendations concerning treatment for addiction. However, we are a valuable resource in educating and informing on a multi-level. We present information so that families can be informed and choose a path that is appropriate for them individually. We have also listed other sites and links to help them find the answers they need.

The Jim Utley Foundation empowers teens and pre-teens to choose drug free lives. We reach them in the most formidable years of their lives, hoping that they will establish a lifetime of healthy habits. In addition to drug prevention we promote fitness, nutrition, serving the community, education and other healthy lifestyle choices.

One of JUF's goals is to reach kids at a younger age than ever before, hoping that parents realize the value of discussions about the dangers of drugs at an early age. The simple, “don’t do drugs,” talks of the past no longer work. Kids who are armed with facts and have regular discussions with parents about the dangers of drugs are 42% less likely to do street drugs. 

Partnering with parents, educators, and community, the Jim Utley Foundation helps families and youth through education and programs at public and private speaking engagements. We also reach out to parents, educators and youth through healthy activities, youth meetings, fundraisers, and our point rewards program, Test Yourself. We offer FREE running in our annual 5k/ 10k to members and staff of the Boys & Girls Clubs, as well as members of our FREE Test Yourself program.
